Mid Vermont Council

2005 – 2006 Wrap Up

As we close out the 49th year of MVC racing I wanted to share some of the accomplishments that we’ve had over the season, despite the less than ideal ski racing conditions. I also want to thank NORDICA for their ramped up support for our athletes, John Del Col for his help with the points, as well as all the race secretaries for their cooperation in getting the results posted and returned for “processing” for the following week’s races. All the areas, Okemo, Killington, Pico, Middlebury Snow Bowl, Suicide 6, Quechee, and Ascutney get a big thanks for their efforts in providing the venue for our youngsters to race on. We couldn’t have the races without all the volunteers that put in countless hours over the winter, which is greatly appreciated.

As in the past the MVC J4’s continue to dominate at the J4 States which is excellent. At the J3 States in GS and SG if we counted the athletes that left MVC this season it would show the continued domination – 11 of the top 15 boys in GS and 10 of the top 15 in SG.  Congratulations to all the above athletes for their hard work and dedication to our great sport. Can the 50th be that far away?

Spring meeting information will be forthcoming.
