It didn’t feel much like Fall at the 1st Annual VARA Fit Day at Okemo today but a good turnout was in evidence. I’m happy to report that NORDICA is back again for our 50th anniversary year and will be doing a few things differently to help us celebrate.
A couple of notes… The J3 States have yet to be sited – no one in the South can do it so stay tuned. On Feb 5, 6 VARA will hold a J4 Speed Camp at Okemo that will each Council will have a quota to for their athletes. The first day will be speed elements, rolls, speed trap, etc and the 2nd day will be sections and full length runs on Chief – essentially the same as previous year’s J3 Speed Camp.
Further regarding our anniversary – a logo design is in progress and we are looking for more potential sponsors/contributors so we can present our MVC J3 and J4 Teams a special commemorative sweatshirt or jacket to display proudly at States and beyond.
